Ariel Gail

Prof. Gail S. Goodman, the Distinguished Professor of Psychology and Director of Center for Public Policy Research is a professor at the University of California Davis. It is widely believed that she was the one who starting the modern scientific study of children's eyewitness memory and child victims as witnesses in legal situations. Professor Goodman is a prolific author and has been awarded numerous prizes and grants. Her work has been with numerous governments and organizations around the globe on studies and policy issues pertaining to the child victimization of the justice system. She acts as consultant to the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center (formerly Multidisciplinary Interview Center) of the Sacramento County Child Protective Services. She is a fellow of several professional associations including that of Association for Psychological Science and the American Psychological Association (Divisions Experimental Psychology Developmental Psychology Society for the Psychological Study of Social Issues Society for Child and Family Policy and Practice American Psychology-Law Society Psychological Psychology for Women and Traumatic Stress). Professor Goodman is also a member of Psychonomics Society as well as the American Professional Society for the Abuse of Children and International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. Professor Goodman was the chief of the American Psychological Society's three divisions which included Division American Psychology Law Society, Division Developmental Psychology and Division Society for Child and Family Policies and Practice.
